I have created my own self hosted streaming service. I run the server on an old desktop computer that I built several years ago. I have scanned several hundreds Movies and TV shows. I have also been expanding my capacity to scan Bluray’s and stream 4k uncompressed Movies. This has been a very enjoyable project that has been the culmination of many smaller projects first making my own home server. Then wiring ethernet around my house. The media can be accessed from anywhere on earth with an internet connection.
